Why it matters

Missing a bill costs more than the bill itself

Late fees, disconnections, damaged vendor relationships and the time spent chasing what should have been automatic. The real cost of a missed bill is not the amount, it is the disruption.

Bills that pay themselves

Set the schedule and the rules once. Electricity, internet, rent and subscriptions go out on the date you set, without someone remembering to click approve every month. The money moves only when the rules are met.

One view of every obligation

Electricity for three offices, internet for five, rent for two. Every recurring bill lives in one list with its next due date, its amount and its auto-pay status, so nothing falls through the cracks.

Paid on time, every time

Late fees, disconnections and embarrassing calls disappear when the payment is automatic. A bill that qualifies by amount, category and schedule goes out without human intervention.

How it works

From biller to paid, in four steps

01

Add the biller

Choose from supported billers or add a custom vendor. Their account details, payment history and category come with them.

02

Set the schedule

Monthly, quarterly, weekly or a one-off date. Each bill carries its own schedule and its own rules, independent of every other.

03

Set the rules

Approval thresholds, category restrictions, budget caps. Payments below the threshold go through; those above route to the approver you set.

04

It pays and records itself

The payment goes out on schedule, settles via the appropriate channel, and posts to your books against the right budget category.

Auto-pay

Set the rules once, watch it pay itself

Recurring bills are the same amount on the same date every month. You should not have to approve the same electricity bill twelve times a year. Set the threshold, set the schedule and let the system handle it.

  • Auto-pay for bills that meet your rules
  • Manual approval for anything outside the threshold
  • Each payment posts to the right budget category

The difference

What changes when bills are automatic

The usual way

  • Logging into each biller's portal separately
  • Calendar reminders that get ignored in a busy week
  • Late fees from missed payment dates
  • No central view of what you owe and when
  • Manual entry in a spreadsheet after paying

With Niimbu

  • One dashboard for every bill and every biller
  • Auto-pay handles recurring bills without intervention
  • Payments go out on time, every time
  • Upcoming, overdue and paid at a glance
  • Each payment posts to the right category automatically
Everything included

The bill payment detail that real operations need

No add-on modules and no higher tier to unlock the basics. These are part of bills from the first day you open an account.

Electricity bill payments

Pay for prepaid meter tokens or postpaid bills across all major DisCos.

Airtime and data

Top up mobile lines on all networks, for staff lines or business devices.

Cable TV and internet

DSTV, GOTV, Startimes and internet service providers, on schedule.

Rent and subscriptions

Office rent, software subscriptions and service retainers, paid on time.

Vendor invoices

Recurring vendor bills tracked by category, with approval rules and history.

Auto-pay scheduling

Set a date, set the rules and the payment goes out without manual intervention.

Approval workflows

Bills above your threshold route to the approver you set before any money moves.

Category tracking

Every bill tagged to a budget category, so your books update without a manual entry.

Payment history

Every bill, every payment, every date. Filterable by biller, category, status and amount.

The idea behind it

A known amount on a known day is a schedule, not a decision.

Treating a recurring bill as something someone has to remember guarantees it will eventually be forgotten, and the late fee is the cheapest part of what that costs.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

If your question is not here, the Help Centre goes deeper, or you can talk to someone on the team.

What bills can I pay through Niimbu?

Electricity across all major DisCos, airtime and data on all networks, cable TV (DSTV, GOTV, Startimes), internet providers, rent, software subscriptions and custom vendor invoices. The list of supported billers grows regularly.

How does auto-pay work?

You set a schedule (monthly, weekly or a specific date), a maximum amount and any category restrictions. When the due date arrives, the system checks the rules and, if the bill qualifies, sends the payment without requiring manual approval. Bills above your threshold still route to an approver.

Can I pay the same bill across multiple locations?

Yes. If you have offices in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, each location's electricity, internet and rent can be set up as separate bills with their own schedules, amounts and approval rules, all visible in one list.

What happens if a bill is overdue?

Overdue bills are flagged in your dashboard with the number of days past due. You receive a notification, and if auto-pay is not enabled, you can pay immediately from the same screen. The overdue status clears once the payment settles.

Can I approve bills before they go out?

Yes. You can set every bill to require manual approval, or set a threshold where only bills above a certain amount need approval. Bills below the threshold auto-pay; those above route to the approver you designate.

Does each bill payment show up in my books?

Yes. Every bill payment posts against the budget category, the biller and the location it belongs to, and flows through to bookkeeping without a manual entry. The payment history is searchable by biller, category, status and date.

What does it cost to pay bills through Niimbu?

There is no monthly platform fee. You pay the face value of the bill plus a small processing fee per transaction. Adding staff or billers does not change the price.

The rest of Pay

Paying out works best when every channel shares one balance, one approval flow and one audit trail. Each of these feeds the same account and spend record.
